Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Using adult male SD rats, we made an extracorporeal blood irradiation circuit system. The blood flow was regulated at 0.2ml/min using a peristaltic pump, and the circulation setting time was 1hour. We made three kinds of irradiation instruments, blue (465nm, 14.8mW/cm2), blue Green (505nm, 10.8mW/cm2), UVA (365nm, 15.7mW/cm2), and a circuit system. The circulation experiment without irradiation was as a control. Hematologic test and white blood cell(WBC) count differential test were performed before/after the each extracorporeal blood irradiation experiment. There was little significant difference between the rates of hematologic tests from irradiated with the Blue-Green light circulation and control. We observed that the Blue light irradiation slightly decreased with platelet count, and the UVA light irradiation decreased with lymphocyte count. It was suggested those changes depended on wavelength of lights.
