| Research Abstract |
The studies on the pathomechanism of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease, Polyglutamine diseases, ALS and psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, autism, mental retardation have been performed. Around 1700 papers including those in the high impact journals were published. In this group studies, many disease model animals were established, and research support systems such as systemic behavior analysis on gene modified mice and brain bank were established. The intensive collaboration inside this group and among Togono (Integral brain research groups) were performed. Many lectures for the public were performed.
