Research Abstract

すばる望遠鏡と高コントラスト観測装置などを用いた観測により、原始惑星系円盤と残骸円盤の観測を行い、その形態の多様性、氷の分布、偏光に基づく塵の性質を初めて空間的に分解し、直接的に明らかにした。若い星の比較的遠方に惑星質量(約10木星質量)に匹敵する伴星天体を発見した。マウナケア山頂群のファイバー干渉計実験(OHANA)にも成功した。また、次世代高コントラスト装置HiCIAOを開発した。
