Research Abstract |
In this research we aim at development of agent systems which is dependable and highly inter-operable. We developed basic technology toward this direction. The main results are as follows. (1)We advanced our previous research of speculative computation by introducing back-up action when speculative computation fails. (2)We made a proto-type system which performs the above back-up action. We used previously developed business support system where the system predicts user's hotel while the system searches a transportation itinerary and the system makes a tentative reservation. When the user makes a hotel reservation, if the reservation is the same as the system prediction, the reservation becomes genuine otherwise the system cancels a tentative reservation and makes a user's reservation. We show that if a speculative action is undoable, we can use the same technique in general. (3)We developed a method to integrate different ontology with maintenance of coherency. (4)Using semantic-web technology, we developed a system which explains web contents using RDF information. We also developed a semantic WIKI system to support producing such RDF information. (5)We developed a system which automatically produces complex workflow by associating coarse-grained task ontology, medium-grained web/application/handwork ontology and executable programs. We also advanced ontology construction support tool DODDLE to support the above ontology construction.
