Research Abstract |
We mainly studied the generation, measurement and control of mono-to few-optical-cycle fields (〜10-^<15>-s(1-fs) optical pulses), as follows: (1) the generation of 2.8 fs, 1.5-cycle isolated pulses by self-phase modulation (2) the generation of 2.6 fs, 1.3-cycle, 1.4 GW isolated pulses by induced phase modulation (3) the generation of carrier-envelop phase stabilized 3.3 fs, 1.7-cycle isolated pulses To the best of our knowledge, those are the shortest isolated pulse in the visible to near-infrared (NIR) region (4) the first construction of the self-recognition type of the computer-controlled spectral-phase manipulator having an over-octave bandwidth and its automatic control using a wavelet transform method (5) the first development of a new liquid-crystal spatial light modulator operating in the UV-to-NIR spectral region for the shorter optical-pulse generation
