Research Abstract |
A.Establishment of computer system 1)XLM file was used for medical data preservation, considering International standard and Medical Makeup Language plan. 2)Expression of medical data : Medical data was expressed by Web browser, and the imaginings such as MRI or CT expressed by using NIH Image-J. 3)Input of medical data : Interface of the medical data collected from the hospitals was compiled by input form taken from web browser. 4)Portable media : USB was selected to transport the medical data, and input additional data in each hospital. 5)Protection of privacy of each patient : All data were expressed by using password (PW) and reliable method of ID. B.Establishment of the data base and its application to patients with developmental motor and intellectual disabilities. 1)Protocol of the items of medical data included prenatal, perinatal and neonatal clinical histories, laboratory data such as imaginings, and clinical course including medical treatments. 2)The transportation of clinical informati

ons was useful to develop clinical medicine of developmental disorders. 3)Clinical informations were reliable, clinical data were real, and these data were thought to be useful for clinical research. More simple input system is continued to be investigated. 4)Personal informations were carefully protected when the data were transported. In addition, this card has the characteristics that this is carried by patients or their family. C.Research on the prevention of brain damages (references 1-9). Cranial imaging and neuropathological researches were also performed with clinical and pathological materials. The pathogenesis of age-related epilepsy and sudden infant death syndrome was found to be closely related to the development of inhibitory channels such as GABA receptors or K channels. The prevention of brain damages by this computerized card system is now progressing and we hope this system contributes to prevent brain damages and to develop care system for the children with developmental disabilities.
