Research Abstract

研究の目的は、ひとつに、高い生産性と生物多様性に支えられる東南アジア熱帯林において、炭素収支推定に対し必要となるパラメータをモデルコラム観測によって取得し、時空間データとして整備・蓄積することである。もうひとつの目的は、これらのデータを基に実測や数値シミュレーションによる炭素収支モデルを確立することである。
本研究では、ボルネオ島マレーシア・サラワク州に位置するランビル国立公園を調査地として、同地に設置されている三次元空間の任意の地点に自由にアクセスできる高さ80m・アーム長75mの林冠観測クレーンを利用し、個葉レベルから精度の高い測定とパラメタリゼーションとマルチスケール統合型の炭素収支推定モデル構築を目指す。
今年度は、国内で本研究に関する研究打ち合わせを持ち、現地での測定パラメータや必要となる基盤ツールの整備をについて検討し、さらにそれらを用いたモデルコラム観測を9月と2月の2回にわたり調査地であるボルネオ島マレーシアの熱帯林で実施した。
今年度のモデルコラム観測では、
1)レーザプロファイラを用いた森林の三次元構造再構築のための林冠三次元計測
2)プラントキャノピーアナライザを用いた林内の葉面積指数の三次元分布計測
3)小型照度計を用いた林内の光合成有効放射量の三次元分布計測
を行った。
これらは、葉群や林内の環境条件を三次元的に復元する試みである。来年度は、これら基盤データの対となる光合成や水特性などの基礎データ収集を実施する計画である。また、今年度、シミュレーションで実施した炭素収支モデルについても、実データを実装し、さらなる高度化を図る計画である。
