Research Abstract |
It is quite important to realize the information-oriented society, with large scaled computer and communication networks and create the information logistic circumstance spreading to all over the world in the future. The fundamental techniques for the above requirements are the, advanced reliability and safety, technologies to the information communication networks, and are being developed with much effort day by day. Especially, we have to be sensitive to the network vision in the next generation, like optical communication devices and ubiquitous Service, monitor them and resolve the emergent problems on fundamental technologies for (i) Reliable design, reliability evaluation and maintenance technology for computer hardware/software systems, (ii)Computer security technology, (iii)Analysis/measurement techniques of information network traffic,(iv) Quality of service evaluation. method to prevent the network congestion, the network delay and non-delivery of tasks, which are often seen in Internet. Our research team consists of three research groups: (1) Development of on-line maintenance algorithms (Dohi, Osaki, Kaio andSandoh), (2) Analysis of performance evaluation of traffic models (Kimura and Aida), (3) System development (Okamura and Rinsaka), so that we built up each research result to achieve the non-trivial reliability and maintenance technique. In the development of on-line algorithms, we implemented an adaptive routing control algorithm of back-up Paths and an on-line preventive maintenance' algorithm based on the performance evaluation model.In the analysis and evaluation of traffic model, we realized the speed-uP of the proposed on-line maintenance algorithm, and developed an autonomous decentralized control system (ADCS) in the mid LSR' in order to control/collect the statistical link data within the network Finally, we implemented all the systems on the real server system in Hiroshima University and added a new function to update the pathinformation which changes according to the operation environment.
