Research Abstract |
Currently the resource of gynecology specialist is severe so that the demand of remote diagnosis and opinion is increased. We have performed the trial of the transmission of CTG (cardiotocogram) over mobile telephone in cooperation with the doctor in Ehime University. It showed constant result, but some administrative effort such like the demanded installation of the server and maintenance of VPN network is required. The spread of broadband environment in a general family advanced, and it became easy now to assume gaining over of ADSL and FTTH as premise environment. So we aimed to make possible for induction of monitoring system of cardiotogram easily without heavy administration task. We used the SOAP message which was coded on HTTP protocol so that we can transmit CTG data over any kind of network environment. We gather the healthcare data from a probe of cardiotogram and convert it into the series of XML data. But typical home users do not have rich knowledge of computer and network, so the realization of automation of configuration and data delivery is required. We have used UPnP technology for the automatic discovery of home network and gateway. To handle multi-vender medical waveform data, we have developed MFER (Medical waveform Format Encoding Rules) parser and tried to standardize the medical wave data which is transformed over the SOAP message. We used the reliable multicast technology (PGM) and queuing system to assuring the data transmission over unstable network. It came to be taken medical care service in remote easily at home by putting these technology together.
