Research Abstract |
(1) The development of practical models of general learning programs for the museum, that encourage the students' literacy about museums, we practiced two continuous researching programs. The names of these programs are “The Ueno Musem Club" and “The general seminar for junior high school students and high school students". [Outline of The Ueno Museum Club] The Ueno Museum Club is continuous learning program which exploit characteristic learning resources of various museums around Ueno area (The National Science Museum, Japan, Tokyo National Museum, The National Museum of Western Art, Ueno Zoological Gardens, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts & Music, etc). The club members were joined in many activities which practiced in various museums, and some activities selected by their own interest. The continuous activities of visiting various museums increased the club members' wide ranged interest of museum. [Outline of The general seminar for junior high school students and high school students] This seminar's center theme is natural science, but also including wide topics, folk tradition, life, and environmental problems for examples. In second year, these continuous activities were cooperated with high school that practiced as school's program. (2) We researched consciousness of the students' literacy about museum and evaluated the progress of it thorough these activities. From the research, we organized the consciousness of the students' literacy about museums are structured with two axis, acquisition of the knowledge and relationship with one's daily life. (3) We made up the report about this research in Japanese. And we reported about original educational methods and outcomes of general learning programs using various museums.
