| Research Abstract |
Our research over the last three years has produced two major results. Firstly, a substantial investigation of many unpublished documents related to the early Nouvelle Revue Francaise, and secondly, several lists of this most important journal and of its contemporary Belgian periodical Antee.
Concerning the NRF, we made a thorough investigation into hundreds of unpublished letters at the Jacques-Doucet Library, and have completed their transcription. Our research is now underway with regard to annotating these letters, which offer many perspectives on the Franco-Belgian literary interrelations of the early twentieth century.
Also we made several lists of the NRF and of Antee. For the former-1°. a chronological list of summaries ; 2°. a complete list of the authors and of their contributions ; 3°. a bibliograpy of the Editions de la NRF. And for the latter-1°. a chronological list of summaries ; 2°. a complete list of the authors ; 3°. a list of the NRF authors to whom Antee referred in its articles and reviews. These lists show in a concrete manner how the groups of the two periodicals are interrelated.
It is clear that these two research areas are both of great importance as primary sources. In fact, they have already provided us with a number of discoveries and enlightening surprises.
