Research Abstract |
To accomplish the wave simulator, a fast opening gate valve was developed. The formation of the pressure wave in a simulator are reproduced with a good quality. The effects of porous wall and cavity space for super frequency noise are investigated numerically and experimentally. The numerical analysis was developed on the attenuation and distortion of a pressure wave propagating in a wave simulator with various porous wall and cavity. The waveform of the pressure wave in the tube calculated by the present method, taking both fluid friction on the wall and the effect of the ballasted track into account, is in good agreement with the experimental data, so that the present numerical method of calculation seems to be reasonable. Experimental data shows the possibility of the present alleviative method, and the effects of the partition plates and cavity space are clear. Optimum location of porous plate are found and the effect of patition plate in a tube have been clarifed.
