Research Abstract |
Yoro district in Miyazu city (4 fishing villages, 5 mountainous villages) started activities of community building which aims at establishing endogenous development on the basis of regional identity and charms as result of raising concern over regional identity related to the consolidation of smaller municipalities. This research is rooted on practical and fundamental study, which focuses on sustainable development of regional environment (agriculture, forestry and fishery). The research goes on the basis of Eco-museum as mean of regional development on exchange between city and rural area through investigation, analysis, and creative proposals. The research results from 2004 to 2005 are as following 1)Using collected data from 1998 to 2003 we conducted visual archive of resources of Okuhami village, these include traditional cuisine, life and agricultural cycles,the beautiful scenery,traditional entertainment folk songs, medical herb etc. 2)As investigation of Eco-museum in Yoro, we focuse

d on the coexistence between mountainous and seaside village, natural and artificial landscapes, cultural life in fishing village, and sounds cape. 3)Traditional recipies, (2)Resources of Yoro landscape,(3)Human network for establishment of community center,(4)River biosphere and riverbank, (5)Waterside park,(6)Big old tree. 4)In order to inform about Yoro charming resources within and outside of the area, we established Eco-museum map and launched the homepage of the investigation (yoronet : http://yoro-ecom.web.infoseek.co.jp). 5)In order to provide learning, enjoying and communicating for urban and rural people within and outside of Yoro, We organized the experience-learning-communicate tourism for one night two days trip as mean of experimental plan. 6)In August 2005 we have done following investigations :(1)Vernacular plants, (2)life of fishing village, (3)Color of Yoro,(4)ASOBI in Yoro. 7)Through the investigation of ASOBI in Yoto we discussed about diversity of nature and cultural living which goes from ASOBI minor subsistence and main subsistence. 8)On the basis of the above results we established picture book of ASOBI. 9)On the basis of the above contents, we also launched homepage of ASOBI HITOKUISHO : (http://yoro-ecom.web.infoseek.co.jp/asobi/) 10)The results of this research constitute the material for presentation in International Design Conference in Taiwan in November 2005.
