Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of the training based on the behavioral science for the dental hygiene students. 1.Effects of training in communication with guardians for dental hygiene students The Confidence Scale in Communication with Guardians as the evaluating instrument was developed for dental hygiene students. There was an acceptable level of reliability and validity. The dental hygiene students in training group received the training using the videotaped feedback and role-playing. The confidence scores of the training group were significantly higher than those of the control group. 2.Continuance of training effects in communication with guardians for dental hygiene students After the clinical practice for 8 months, the dental hygiene students were evaluated by The Confidence Scale in Communication with Guardians again. The confidence scores of the training group were significantly higher than those of the control group. The scores of inteview technique in the training group were significantly higher than those in the control group. It was concluded that effects of training in communication with guardians for dental hygiene students were continual.
