Outline of Annual Research Achievements

初年度である28年度は、ゲルマニウムへの安定かつ効率的スピン注入に必要なMgOトンネル絶縁膜の成長のためにMBE装置の立ち上げと条件出しを行った。また、従来になかった新構造としてゲルマニウムスピンチャネル面を電気的に孤立させた新構造基板を共同研究先であるWarwick大グループと開発し、入手した。スピン注入実験には至っていないが、それへの重要な要素技術開発などは順調に遂行された。

Reason

ゲルマニウムスピントランジスタの作製に向けた要素技術の開発と実験環境の整備は順調に進行している。また素子構造の最適化も終了している。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

トンネル絶縁膜成長と、ゲルマニウムスピンチャネル面に垂直なスピン量子化軸を持つスピン注入のための垂直磁化膜成長の最適化を同時に進め、スピンバルブ素子の電気的特性を確認しながらスピン注入実験を行っていく。
