Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
From April until November 2018 (fellowship end date is 20 November), Lisanne worked on several things. First, she worked on the preparation of publications based on her research findings from the previous fiscal year. Second, Lisanne further disseminated and discussed her research findings by means of presenting academic papers at two international academic conferences, in San Francisco, USA, in April, and in Brussels, Belgium, in May. The work she presented there focused on the low carbon technology transfer policies of France, Germany and the UK. Third, Lisanne went to London and Oxford in early June to conduct interviews about UK low carbon technology transfer policies to collect additional data for one of her academic papers. Fourth, she shared the results of the UNU-IAS low carbon technology transfer (LCT) project with Japanese experts by means of a joint presentation with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) at the International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific (ISAP) in Yokohama, Japan, in July 2018. In the same month, she also participated in a conference (plus workshop) organized by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on disaster risk reduction, security, and climate change.
