Outline of Annual Research Achievements

複数行列(主行列と補助行列)を入力とし共有される因子を抽出する、協調行列分解(collaborative matrix factorization)手法を開発するとともに実装を行った。
また、複数の応用に対し開発手法の適用を開始した。応用は、1)ヒトタンパク質の機能予測、2)植物(穀物)育種での収量等形質予測、等である。
例えば、上記2)での入力は、主行列は、行と列に植物の個体×育成地域を持ち、要素には収量等の形質の値が入る。一方、補助行列は、個体の遺伝情報、また育成地域の天候や土壌情報等の環境情報が入力となる。すなわち、この例では、全体で3つの行列からなり、植物育種では、主行列の形質が、遺伝情報(G)と環境情報(E)から決まるという仮定を持っており、GXEとしばしば呼ばれる。協調行列分解はこの仮定を正しく実現していると言える。
今後、手法適用結果から、手法の改良と応用へのフィードバックを行っていく。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

協調行列分解手法の改良、及び、異なる複数行列への適用手法の開発を行っていく。
同時に、植物育種応用ではデータ取得に時間がかかるため、データ取得にも注力する。
