Outline of Final Research Achievements

School as Learning Community, SLC, which I proposed and practiced, has been one of the most powerful educational theory and strategy to reform the schools in such Asian countries, Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thai in pursuit of the "21 century style" of school education. This research project arranged 3 international research conferences at Beijing Normal University in 2016, Korean Institute of SLC in 2017 and Fuzhou Normal University in 2018. The conferences successfully provided ample opportunities for educational researchers from 10 and more nations to share and promote enhanced knowledge and experience.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究の「学びの共同体」の学校改革と授業改革は、日本の教育学と教育実践の海外発信として最も影響力の大きいものの一つであり、本研究においても、中国、韓国、台湾、インドネシア、ベトナム、タイにおいて、21世紀型の学校と授業をめざす改革として最大の影響力を及ぼしてきた。本研究において実施された3つの国際会議は、10か国以上の国々における研究と実践の国際交流の場となり、改革の普及と質の向上に寄与した。
