Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Base on game refinement theory model (GRT), last year I have done 5 projects and gotten achievements: 1. I used game refinement theory model to analyze the Role-play Game, then wrote the paper [An Approach to Entertainment Tuning in RPGs: Case Study Using Diablo III and Trails of Cold Steel], the paper was published in conference GALA 2016 where was hold in Utrecht, Netherlands 2. I find some defeat point in game refinement model, use physical model update the paradox to write the paper [Solving the Sophistication-Population Paradox of Game Refinement Theory], this paper was published in conference ICEC 2016 where was hold in Vienna, Austria 3. Base on the game refinement, I combine the mathematical Elo rating system to analyze the soccer ranking system. The paper [Mathematical Model of Ranking Accuracy and Popularity Promotion] was written and published in conference ICSAI 2016 where was hold in Shanghai, China; For the same conference, as the second author I help other researcher in our lab to write paper [The fairness mechanism in MOBA games]. to analyze the balance and fairness mechanism in game. 4. Finally, I found the channel between continuous movement game and traditional board game, then wrote paper [Possible Interpretations for Game Refinement Measure], in this paper the game refinement theory was developed much and now was being submitted to the conference in this year.

Reason
According to my research, the game refinement theory model was updated and developed a lot, for myself, I have attended three conferences to do the presentation. Not only the paper which was published last year, but also now I have done the new research about [Mafia game and game refinement measure], in this paper, I connected the traditional game theory and GRT model together. In the other hand, I established a new project which was called distributed game refinement model, now I'm collecting the data and preparing the related paper. It is clear to expect this year I can write 3 conference papers at least.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
1. Write the program to simulate the game theory process in mafia game, then perfect the mafia paper 2. Collect data in DOTA2, analyze the player's behavior of different positions, then establish the distributed game refinement model 3. Assist Professor Iida to analyze the swing phenomenon in game process, then I will use signal processing method to analyze the attractiveness of target game competition. 4. Begin the serious game project 5. Write 4 papers at least in 2017 year and submit them to the target conference.
