Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

国内で初めての本格的な環境倫理学の雑誌をつくったこと。インタビューによって市民のなかにある思想をくみ上げることを試みたこと。ブックガイドを製作して環境倫理学と環境問題に関する100冊の本を紹介したこと。「災後」と「人新世」という時代における環境倫理学の姿を『未来の環境倫理学』という名前で示し、原発事故、放射性廃棄物、気候工学といったテーマを前面に打ち出したこと。アメリカの最新の環境倫理学の教科書の内容を紹介し論評したこと。これらは学術的にも社会的にも大きな意義があるといえる。事実、雑誌も本も、刊行後に好評をもって迎えられた。
