Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research revealed that the fusion of art and daily life is extremely difficult from the following viewpoints. ① The idea of anarchism and happiness that the Neo-Impressionists believed in cannot match the pursuit of beauty. ② Through observing art festivals in various places (Saitama Triennale 2016, the three art festivals in Europe in 2017), the fusion of everyday life and art will be passed on to political or economic issues. ③ The fusion of art and daily life requires, for example, a rough cure that can lead to "poison". "Poison" injects life-threatening "interest" into art.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

私達は芸術と日常生活の融合を夢想する。「日常生活に芸術が溢れていたら素晴らしい」、「芸術が日常生活者にも近づきやすかったら、もっといい」。しかし本研究は、実際には両者が歩み寄る難しさを示した。そうしたことは、2020年に始まるコロナ禍などの厳しい芸術環境において、補助金などを芸術につぎ込むことが、人々の賛意を得られないことからも分かる。しかし本研究はそうした相矛盾する芸術と生活の間に、「毒」のような架け橋も存在することを明らかにした。今後、さらなる研究が俟たれる。
