Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The texts of various versions after the European famous beast epic “Historie van Reynaert die vos”, published in 1479, have been translated and their historical backgrounds have been elucidated for the first time in this study. It can be also said with great possibility that the folk book “Reynaert de Vos” of 1564 has been published in the background of religious conflicts between Catholicism and Protestantism to propagate the Protestant teachings. In accordance with this aim the civilite-type was also introduced. Thereafter, “Reynaert den Vos, oft der Dieren Oordeel” has been published and it can be concretely attested that almost Christian religious terms were carefuly eliminated in this version.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
