サブストーム回復相における極域熱圏でのエネルギー収支の解明

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ノルウェー・トロムソ観測所に設置したファブリペロー干渉計と光学カメラを用いたオーロラと熱圏風速の測定を実施した。別予算で同観測所に配置した高速撮像カメラとの同時測定にも成功し、脈動オーロラに代表される時間変動の速いオーロラ発生時における熱圏応答を研究する貴重なデータを取得できた。
フィンランド・オウル大学との協同研究を推進し、サブストーム相における熱圏風速の応答の特徴を解析した(論文投稿済み:1本、投稿準備中:1本)。
熱圏風速の2次元分布を測定することができる熱圏大気プロファイラの導入に向けた国際プロジェクトを立ち上げ、準備活動を開始した。

Reason

当初予定していた観測期間に装置は順調に稼働し、研究対象のオーロラ現象にも恵まれた。解析を国際共同研究として推進し、論文執筆も順調に進んでいる。次の研究活動を見越した準備作業を国際協力の下、開始することができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

平成30年度が本事業の最終年度に当たり、これまでに得られた観測データの解析を進め論文執筆および学会発表を行う。熱圏大気プロファイラの国際プロジェクトを推進する。

Causes of Carryover

本科研費は追加採択のため初年度はほとんど活動する時間がなかったため、その影響が現収支に影響している。実質的活動時間が短い分、ペースを上げて研究活動をしているので進捗には影響ない。
