Outline of Final Research Achievements

Simultaneous measurement of bone conduction sound in which detects occlusal tooth contacts and electromyography of masticatory muscle were performed to evaluate relationship between occlusal tooth contacts and masticatory muscle activities. Bitescan (SHARP) that counts number of chewing times from vibration of the skin behind ear was also applied to confirm the validity of those measurements.
Ten healthy subjects were participated for the examination of occlusal contact pattern during lunch time with those instruments. Results of this research will be reported on the 130th commemorative scientific meeting of the Japan Prosthodontic Society.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
