Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Development of a new method to reversibly inactivate specific genes in a tempo-spatial way is very important for biological research. Here, as a model system, we have tried to reversibly inactivate the Syk tyrosine kinase in the germinal center phase. We have identified the chemical component which inhibits the mutant Syk, but not wildtype Syk. We have also established mice harboring inducible Cre only in the germinal center B cell phase.
