Research Abstract |
In order to identify susceptible gene for multi-factorial disease such as common disease, we have developed two methods, GWAS (genome-wide association study) using 30,000 microsatellites and detection of linkage between a trait and a marker in a random mating population without pedigree record. Utilizing these new methods, we could identify more than 30 disease susceptible genes. Towards genome-based drug discovery based on these disease genes, we have developed in silico network analysis and new yeast two hybrid system.
