超低侵襲消化器癌治療を実現する内視鏡ロボットシステムの開発

Research Abstract

本研究の目的は半自律型駆動機構と微細マニピュレーション機能を備える内視鏡ロボットの開発および実用化を行うことである。前年度までに軟素材フィンの螺旋形状のねじ方向が逆になっている2つのユニットを前後に結合し,互いに逆方向に回転することで推進する内視鏡ロボットを開発し,ブタ大腸直線部の走行に成功した.しかし,(1)湾曲部で走行できない,(2)腸径>フィン径で空転する,(3)腸<フィン径で腸がねじれる,という問題があったため,平成20年度は湾曲部を走行可能なフレキシブル機構,および腸径に合わせてフィン径を変えられる機構を有する新しい内視鏡ロボットを開発した.まず,フレキシブル機構としては,ユニットを先端部,前部,モータ部,コネクタ部の4つに分割し,ユニット間をユニバーサルジョイントで接続した.そして,フィンの素材をシリコンから伸縮性に優れたセプトンに変更し,ユニット間が蛇腹状になるよう被せた結果,死んだブタ大腸の湾曲部の走行に成功した.また,フィン径可変機構としては,先端から2番目と3番目のユニット(前部・モータ部)のフィンの内側にバルーンを付加し,それぞれ独立に空気を送入・排出することで径を変えることが可能となった.さらに,それぞれのバルーンに通じる2つの空気管路のあるスリップリングを設計し,電源ケーブルおよび空気送入用チューブがねじれないようにした.実験後の内視鏡検査にて粘膜損傷のないことも確認した。
