Research Abstract

瞬目反射学習と小脳プルキンエ細胞内のシナプス可塑性に関与する機能分子との因果関係を、5種の遺伝子変異マウスを用いて追究し、小脳LTDと学習能の間の強い相関性を明らかにした。条件によっては、小脳以外の上位中枢に強く依存し、小脳に依存しないメカニズムも示唆された。学習と脳波との関係や学習中の小脳神経活動の記録等、新しい実験系の開発を行った。瞬目反射学習の、老化や認知症研究における有用性が示された。
