Research Abstract |
In the three years of this research project, we had twenty times conferences to discuss the research points of preserving minor crops. And those discussions leaded us the new points of farm brand strategy marketing theory. Most of the minor crops have possibilities of creating post modern societies in the local area, but our statistical analysis showed the facts that the minor crops remaining in the limited local area in Japan. The case studies demonstrate the competitive advantages of the minor crops from the viewpoint of small business, which can facilitate local economy and culture. We define these activities as spontaneous development in the local area. Finally we get to the point it is critical to create effective certification mark system based on minimum economy and maximum utility philosophy.
