Research Abstract |
This research project is summarized as follows. First, we investigate a method which deals with essential parts of interactions among agents. In accordance with FIPA standards, we develop a language which can express the interactions in the tree structured documents. This language introduces variables in the tree structure, which can be substitued for other elements with constraints. We show the variables are useful to hide unessential information in interactions, and then a tree with variables can be regarded as the representative expression for a set of similar trees, we thus consider the tree with variable as a pattern of interactions. Second, we develop a datamining algorithm for the tree structure with variables. This algorithm identifies the largest common sub-structure among a given set of trees. From the view points of software engineering, each tree corresponds to a pattern as described above and the identified sub-structure can be regarded as an abstract pattern which extracts an elemental part among the patterns. Finally, we show the idea of abstract pattern is applicable to a design reuse in developments of agent interactions.
