Research Abstract |
The training machine to improve the choice reaction time operation was developed in this research. At first, I'll explain the training machine designed and produced by me as following. That is, it is a machine to demands us the selection response operation to light stimulation. The light stimulation selected three colors (red, blue, and yellow) that were the same colors as the traffic signal. Six operational units having same structure and function were set on the playing board. The operational unit had one lump and two cut-off switches setting right and left. The lamp emits with a color at random from among three colors. The pads holding with training person's hand were used to turn off the light. When lamp emits the training person pushes the turn-off switch with the pad according to the lamp color, red with the left side pad, blue with the right and yellow with both sides. The lamp is not turned off even if the switch is pushed with the pad that doesn't correspond. The training machine had the four modes that provided to be appropriated stress in consideration of the age. Next, the results obtained from test training were summarized as following. Reaction time is rapidly shortened after four days from the beginning of training in men and women. The difference among the same subjects to be narrow gradually and reaction time is constant at low level. Reaction time doesn't return to original level two months after the training stopped. So the training effects would remain for long time. It suggests a new intracranial motor program create in our brain. The training machine developed by this research is effective for the delayed type hypersensitivity improvement of reaction time in the elderly.
