Research Abstract |
We have studied the practical education to develop the creativity and originality based on the soccer robot which is made at low price. And we have evaluated quantitatively the degree of creative minds for the student improved through manufacturing robots. For the performance of robots, it seems that is enough in our judgment from the results of last eight in RoboCup world competition 2007 and the second place in RoboCup Japan open 2007. Compared with previous system, it was improved at following points by the experienced students of RoboCon. 1. For the image and communication process, it was changed into two camera system due to the progressive wan camera as a global vision. We have been done the speed up of image processing system through the partial recognition method around a machine and the ball and by introducing high performance wireless devices. 2. For the electronic circuit, a CPU put on the robot was changed into the SH2 microcomputer from H8. An acceleration sensor was added to prevent the skidding of the wheel and trigger device was changed into FET from a relay to control easily the kicking power. We designed and manufactured the charge circuits for electromagnetic solenoids and error correcting circuit in receive circuit. 3. For making the strategic program, we introduced Karman filter to decrease the observable noise and dynamics software. In addition, we developed the programs of cooperative motion corresponding to the pass play and of the simulation. 4. For the manufacturing the robot, specialized robot for goalkeeper, movable wheel for all direction, dribble and kick mechanism and a device to measure the ball speed were produced. As the results of quantitative evaluation for the creative minds of the student examined the experiment such as mentioned above, the ability was shown a remarkable increase.
