Research Abstract |
Social workers, care workers and case managers working in welfare facilities and agents have a wide range of stresses in performing their duty. Specifically, when they concern and support the clients who had severe traumatic experiences, there is possibility that care workers and case managers and social workers themselves have to confront their own trauma. The specialty of the helpers, or the building of sympathy and relationship with clients, increasingly means placing them in the process of extending to the situation of burnout. The helpers and social workers in two welfare facilities were attended the projects on the self check lists about the compassion fatigue, burnout and compassion satisfaction created by Figley, C. et al.. As a result, compassion fatigue showed high numerical value earlier than the burnout standard, and it was suggested that this check lists were very effective as the prevention of burnout. (2)About the question paper use of institution or facility manager. (3)Self-awareness of staffs in a institution, an agent and a facility. 2. Treatments and Measures for compassion fatigue.
