Research Abstract |
1.A poly(amine ester) dendrimer with naphthyl units (NG1) has been synthesized as a fluorescent chemosensor for metal ions. We investigated the metal ion recognition of NG1 by adding each Ag^+, Al^<3+>,Ba^<2+>,Ca^<2+>,Cd^<2+>,Co^<2+>,Cu^<2+>,Fe^<3+>,Mg^<2+>,Ni^<2+>, and Zn^<2+> in acetonitrile solution. Large changes were observed in the fluorescence spectra of NG1 on addition of Al^<3+>,Cu^<2+>, and Zn^<2+>. 2.Poly(amide amine) dendrimer with naphthyl units (N8) as a fluorescent chemosensor for metal ions was synthesized. We investigated the metal ion recognition of N8. Large changes in the fluorescence spectra of N8 were observed upon the addition of Al^<3+>,Zn^<2+>,Cd^<2+> and Ni^<2+>.
