Research Abstract

To decide the hepatic sinusoidal flow velocity, at fires, the hematocyte moving images were recorded using video-capturing method under in-vivo microscopy of rabbit liver. And then the captured image analysis was done on computer software and finally estimated sinusoidal blood flow velocity was calculated.
At first, average flow velocity of the sinusoids was about 30 pixel/flame. However, the flow velocity decreases within ten minutes according to the changes of rabbit body conditions such as body temperature and heart rates, respiratory rates. According to these results, strict control of rabbit body condition was necessary for further analysis of sinusoidal blood flow.
This research aimed at the basic research for transcatheter arterial embolization of hepatic tumor using in-vivo microscopic method in small animal such as rabbit. And our current conclusion is to use bigger animal is important to get better data on in-vivo microscopic observation of vital liver blood flow without variability caused by animal condition change.
