Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The present study aimed at accumulating, advancing, and systematizing knowledge in cross-modal processes by combining advanced VR technologies with the knowledge of behavioral change in cognitive psychology. The results are diverse: including the facial expression deformation techniques, the pseudo-resistance presentation by cross-modal effects, attentional modulation of audiovisual integration, the effects of sense of agency on perception, visual bias and illusions, and changes in auditory sensitivity due to motor action. Also the study led to new perspectives, such as the relationship between cross-modal processes and sense of agency/ownership.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
