Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、関数型量子プログラミングの可能性を探索するために、量子演算を入力として量子演算を出力とする関数である高階量子演算の量子コンピュータ上での実装可能性や近似的実装に必要なリソースの解析を進めている。特に、入力となる量子演算の古典的記述を経ずに、ブラックボックスとして与えられる入力量子演算に対して高階量子演算を直接実行しうる量子情報処理の特性(匿名性)を生かした新たな量子アルゴリズムを探索してきた。平成31年度および令和2年度は、平成30年度までに得られた研究成果をさらに発展させ、ユニタリ変換および一般量子変換に対する基本的・汎用的な高階量子演算の効率的な実装方法の特性評価と、分散型量子情報処理における並列性・因果性・非局所性の解析について、次のような成果を得た。
まず、ユニタリ変換に限らない一般的な量子変換の重ね合わせを利用した量子プログラミング方法の開発を目指し、現在知られている量子光学での実装方法や、公理的な定義とも一致する一般的な量子変換の制御化の定義を行なった。この定義では、制御化でのコヒーレンス度をパラメータとして導入することができ、最大コヒーレンスを得るための必要条件の導出に成功した。この定義と最大コヒーレンス度の条件を満たすと、非因果的順序関係を持つ量子スイッチのランダム通信路に対する作用と同様の作用を定式化できることも示した。さらに、可逆性を持たない高階量子演算に対する制御高階量子演算への拡張を行い、その量子プログラミング法への応用として、ユニタリ変換の制御化アルゴリズムの再定式化を行なった。分散型量子情報処理に関しては、3者間の量子プロセスの定式化に先駆け、2者間で分離した入力演算に対して非因果的順序を持つ可逆的高階量子演算を作用させた場合の数学的定式化を行い、この高階量子演算では、量子スイッチと同様の構造しか持ち得ないことを証明した。
