Outline of Final Research Achievements	This study has clarified the process of indigenization and the cultural-historical position of the Yiyangqiang in the Ming and Qing dynasties, based on examples from Beijing, Guangdong, and Taiwan. For the Beijing case, examining "Sanhuang baojian" and other script sources, we found that the story of Xue Jiajiang's conquest of the West was developed through the Jingqiang of the Yiyangqiang, and xiaoshuo was created under the influence. Moreover, the term "bense," which appears in the drama-related discourse of Ming dynasty literati, was examined using textual analysis to obtain a more valid explanation for it. Critical editions and Japanese translations of "Jushuo" and "Huabu nongtan" written by Jiao Xun in the Qing Dynasty, as well as transcriptions of four fictions of the Yiyangqiang, have been published in Taiwan as "Yuan Ming Qing Drama Materials, First Series". A prototype of a system for displaying phonological information from Chinese texts has been developed and released.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements	樊梨花故事の事例は、京腔通俗伝奇が明代の講史小説から乾隆期の英雄伝奇的歴史小説への発展過程のミッシングリンクであることを示唆し、通俗文学史研究の可能性を拓くものである。台湾皮影戯台本の研究からは、これは現代中国にも見られる中央と地方、地域と地域の関係を、文化史的に理解する一助となろう。明代文人の言説に見える「本色」概念を整理し、意味内容を確定したことは、明清代文人の曲論・芸術論を理解する上で画期的であり、研究方法も示範的な意味を持とう。中国古典戯曲データベースに曲譜や戯曲本文を追加し、音韻分析システムを初期的に完成させたことは、内外の関連諸分野の研究発展に寄与することだろう。
