Outline of Final Research Achievements

Through a questionnaire survey of education support center directors, staff, and instructors nationwide, as well as intensive observation and interview surveys of six education support centers, this study examined the actual status of sports activities, particularly table tennis (87.9% implementation rate) and badminton (78.4% implementation rate), and the reasons and meanings behind these activities. The survey also examined the nature of sports activities in a stable and secure environment, without being exposed to "major stimuli" or "changes," from the perspective of the direction of the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and facilities, and the nature of cooperation and collaboration with the local community. The results were used to create and publish guidelines for sports coaching at the Education Support Center.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

不登校問題が大きくなる中で、教育支援センターにおけるスポーツ活動やその指導の実態、指導意識の特徴などを、初めて調査から実証的に明らかにした本研究の学術上の意義は大きいと思われる。また、実践における課題解決への手がかりとして、観察やヒアリング調査を通して、特に「卓球」であることの意味に焦点づけたり、ガイドラインという形で、調査結果とその分析を具体的な知識として活用できる形で示したことは、広く、教育支援センターにおけるスポーツ活動の指導時のガイドラインないしガイドブックとして意義の深いものであると思われる。
