Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, I aimed to present the concrete actual situation regarding the land ownership of　‘The Japanese settlers in colonial Korea’ through the analysis of the land register of Daegu City, South Korea, which was created during the Japanese colonial rule.　The main achievements can be summarized in the following three points.
1) By investigating the land ledgers kept in Daegu City and National Archives, Busan, I collected all the data of the 36 administrative districts where ‘The Japanese settlers in colonial Korea’ lived.　2) Through the collected data, I made an effort to clarify the actual situation regarding land ownership by analyzing the status and changes in their land ownership.　3) Furthermore, by classifying the results by year and by administrative area, I analyzed the characteristics of land ownership of　‘The Japanese settlers in colonial Korea’　in Daegu City.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

最近韓国社会から見られる行政の電子化や新都心開発の動きは在朝日本人研究者の立場からは危機感を思える。今回の研究成果は消え去る資料（歴史）を記録する作業でもあり、今後の在朝日本人研究において有効な役割を果たすと考えている。
また、今回の研究課題は個人レベルの土地所有に焦点を当てており、これまで植民地支配や都市形成という政治・社会的文脈で語られてきた土地所有の問題を、在朝日本人研究の領域でミクロ的に捉えなおすことのできるきっかけを提供できることを期待している。
