Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, (1) we estimate the approximate elasticity of the heteroscedasticity of consumption using Japanese macro data, which is summarized in a submitted paper. (2) As an initiative that leads to innovation in companies, we experimented with the creation of a new business using service design in a workshop format. (3) With respect to policies that lead to innovation in a society with a declining population, we used panel data from corporate questionnaires to analyze which companies have been able to utilize data and reform their working styles and which have not.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

人口減少社会におけるイノベーションにつながる政策を考えることは、現在の日本において急務である。本研究では、マクロの景気が個人の消費行動にどの程度影響を与えているのかを確認した。その結果、バブル以降の消費の異時点間の代替弾力性は、失業率の高まりや年金不安等の不確実性が増した場合におこる待ちオプションによる貯蓄性向の高まりの議論と整合的であることが確認された。
また、企業アンケートのパネルデータを用いて分析した結果、データ活用の体制や方針のみがデータ活用を進展させ、成果につながる、つまり、データ活用の社内標準化が急務であることが確認された。
サービスデザインを用いた新規事業企画への可能性も探索できた。
