Outline of Final Research Achievements

At a symposium on "Tradition and Legitimacy: Creation, Control, and Extinction," organized by the Institute of Japanese Studies, Hallym University and the Institute of Japanese Studies, Rikkyo University, I gave a presentation on "The Dynamics of Teaching Materials in Modern Japanese Textbooks" and clarified the methodology of textbook research and analysis of classical teaching materials.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

これまで国語科教育学は研究と学習指導要領（教育行政）との関わりはつかず離れずの微妙な距離感のなかで形成されてきた。これについて歴史的知見から批評的に論じ、教育学における国語科の指導内容の検討の視野を拡大していく必要があるだろう。そのために歴史研究と現在の学習指導要領のあり方を紐付けながら論じる研究スタイルが求められる。加えて、古典学習に関する研究方法や研究体制についての知見が蓄積されたこと、それに参画する研究協力者を実際的に募ることができたことは今後の研究の進展にも大きな意義があった。
