Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昨年度、本研究課題の目的であった、素粒子論によって存在が予想されていたクラスSのカイラル代数の数学的構成と、これらの頂点代数の随伴多様体がMoore-立川シンプレクティック多様体と同型であることを示すことに成功し、プレプリントをarXivに発表した。当該結果により、N=2超対称性を持つ4次元のスーパーコンフォーマルな場の理論のヒッグス枝が、Rastelli等の4D/2D双対性によって対応する頂点代数の随伴多様体に一致すると主張するBeemとRastelliの驚くべき予想を、クラスS理論と呼ばれる広いクラスの4次元のスーパーコンフォーマルな場の理論に対して数学的に厳密な証明されたことになる。
荒川の当該結果は数学と物理学の双方で世界的な注目を浴び、モスクワのHigher School of Economics、成都のTianyuan Mathematical Center in Southwest China、パリのポアンカレ研究所の三カ所で行った連続講演を含め、計16件の国際会議で招待講演を行い、国内では平成31年度文部科学大臣表彰科学技術賞を受賞した。
今年度は当該論文を学術雑誌に投稿し、Anne Moreau, Cuipo Jiang, Thomas Creutzig, Boris Feigin等と関連する話題の研究を行った。

Reason

素粒子論によって存在が予想されていたクラスSのカイラル代数の数学的構成と、これらの頂点代数の随伴多様体がMoore-立川シンプレクティック多様体と同型であることを示すことに成功し、本研究課題の目的を達成した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本研究課題は大きな成功を収めたが、新型コロナの影響により結果の普及活動と関連する話題の研究を十分に行えなかった部分がある。今年度はこれらの遂行を十分に行いたい。
