近未来予測のための古海洋学:温暖化に伴う気候モードジャンプの可能性

Research Abstract

本年度は主に、これまでに採取したコア試料の分析を進めると共に、分析結果の解析作業および結果を取りまとめての論文執筆を行った。具体的には、大陸起源風成塵の供給源をより正確に復元する為に、特にタクラマカン砂漠起源のダストのESRおよび結晶化度による特徴づけをより詳しく行うと共に、後氷期における風成塵供給源の変遷を数年という高時間解像度で復元できる可能性のある水月湖のコア試料について供給源推定のための分析を開始した。また、一昨年度に日本海南部の水深300mから得られたコアについて、放射性炭素による年代測定を行うと共に、微化石の群集組成分析を行った。東シナ海北部から昨年度採取されたピストンコアの最終氷期部分について、浮遊性有孔虫殻の酸素同位体比およびMg/Ca比の予察的分析を行い、後氷期と異なって塩分はあまり変動せず、水温のみが大きく変動すること、その変動が、ダンスガードーオシュガーサイクル[DOC]に連動している可能性があることが示された。ベーリング海大陸棚については、砕屑物のESRや結晶化度、粒度を用いて供給源推定を行い、ユーコン川起源の砕屑物がどの様に輸送されているかを明らかにした。成果の取りまとめについても、精力的に進めた。日本海については、最終氷期におけるDOCに連動した風成塵供給源の変動と偏西風経路の変動に関する論文、東シナ海北部については、融氷期以降のSST,SSSに記録される東アジア夏季モンスーン変動と揚子江流出量変動に関する論文、融氷期におけるSSS変動を伴わないSST変動とそれに伴うSSTの緯度勾配変化に関する論文、ベーリング海については、底生有孔虫の酸素・炭素同位体比変動およびそのオホーツク海との比較に基づく、DOCに伴った北太平洋中層水の形成場所および形成強度の変動に関する論文、砕屑物の粒度変動に基づく北太平洋中層水の流速変動に関する論文を投稿した。
