| Research Abstract |
This project carried out cross-national comparative survey of East Asia, USA, Australia and India by face-to face interview, based on statistical sampling. The questionnaire covered people's attitudes, opinion and values as to interpersonal relationships, nature, life, religion, et al. This East Asia Values Survey (EAVS) has clarified various aspects, including the interaction between national character and political regimes. Among others, it confirmed the universal social value on "the family."
