| Research Abstract |
On the basis of facilitating this research by organizing a close and cooperative relationship among the Japanese, Korean and Chinese participants, automobile and electronics plants and R&D facilities were visited, and the present competitive structures of the Japanese, Korean and Chinese automobile and electronics industries have been clarified. Japanese companies still have a competitive advantage, especially in the field of technology. However, it is not certain that they can succeed in constructing effective strategies for the growing markets of developing countries. On the other hand, Korean companies have certainly been increasing sales in the global market, somehow aided by the decrease in the value of the Won, and Chinese companies have been strengthening their competitiveness mainly in the Chinese domestic market.
