| Research Abstract |
Through this investigation, we found manuscripts of 94 volumes of Chong zhen li shu (崇禎暦書), 27 volumes of Shinpo rekisho (新法暦書) and so forth which seemed to be the old collection of books of Nativist Scholar Atsutane Hirata (平田篤胤) in Akita prefecture library. Signatures of Norinaga Motoori (本居宣長) were accepted to Shinpo rekisho. We found 28 volumes of Xi yang xin fa li shu that astronomer Kagesuke Takahashi (高橋景佑) had possessed in Tokoku University. Moreover we confirmed 160 volumes of Xi yang xin fa li shu at the Akimoto bunko library. At the same time, we understood that Chong zhen li shu which there were in the country was Xi yang xin fa li shu (西洋新法暦書).
We found 24 volumes of Tianxue chuhan (天学初函) and the complete manuscript of this at the Hosa bunko library. In addition, we confirmed Calendar note by Takakazu Seki (関孝和) in the Jingu bunko library that Nativist Scholar Kogan Murai (村井古巌) donated it.
We was also able to discover lost Mei Wending's work Zhong xi suan xue tong (中西算學通) in Qinghua University library in China.
