| Research Abstract |
本研究では、英米両国が日本政治をどのように見てきたのかを、第一次世界大戦後から第二次世界大戦後までの長期的なスパンの中で検討した。とりわけ、英米の駐日外交官達が、第一次大戦後における日本の民主化の動きを的確に捉えていたことを、一次史料に基づいて明らかにしたことが、本研究の最大の成果である。
