| Research Abstract |
原生生物の特性から、淡水産と思われていたある特定の種が、海水中や、土壌中からも出現する。これまで日本の原生生物は生息地ごとに、別々の学会が研究を行ってきたため、日本では原生生物(動物)のそれぞれの分類群についてはこれまで、系統分類学的情報・生物地理学的情報がまとめられたことがない。本課題では、特に繊毛虫及び有殻アメーバについて、その情報の集約と公開への基盤的整備を行った。また、単一の細胞からの形態情報及び遺伝情報の取得手法を確立し、培養不可能な自由生活性原生動物における単一細胞由来の遺伝子配列の情報の蓄積を開始した。
