常温常圧での二酸化炭素の資源化反応を駆動する革新的固体触媒科学の構築

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、高難度であるが炭素資源として高いポテンシャルをもつCO2の資源化反応を可能とする革新的な固体触媒科学の構築を目的とし、i) CO2を常温常圧で活性化する触媒活性点の精密制御、ii) CO2を選択的に活性点近傍に吸着濃縮する塩基性担体の設計、iii) プラズモン増強電場によりCO2安定構造に摂動を与える特殊反応場の創製の各面よりアプローチした。
本年度の成果として、1)では、CO2からのギ酸合成において広く用いられるPdに第13族元素(Ga, Al, B)を添加した触媒を調製し、元素添加によるギ酸合成活性の向上を目指した。特に、PdGaが最も高い活性を示し、Pd単体の約2.5倍であった。D2ガスを用いたHD交換反応の反応速度定数KHDから水素開裂能を評価したところ、Ga添加により水素開裂能が向上していることが明らかになった。また、理論計算から第13族元素の添加はPd表面に電荷の不均衡を生じさせ、水素開裂ステップだけでなく、HCO3-の吸着も促進させていることが示された。
2)では、ミノプロピルトリエトキシシランと等モルのグルタールアルデヒド(Glut)などを前駆体とし、水熱合成により窒素ドープのカーボン-シリカ複合体(NCS)を合成した。PdAg合金ナノ粒子を担持した触媒は、添加物非存在下、純水中での直接CO2活性化によるギ酸合成反応において、TiO2、SiO2、活性炭(AC)や既報の純水中でのギ酸合成に比べ4倍以上高い活性を示す。これは、TiO2,SiO2,活性炭(AC)に比べてNCSの高い親水性、低温でのCO2の吸着特性に大きく起因する。
